Welcome to Barn Yesterday - Home of Ol'Bailey Labrador Retrievers

Barn Yesterday
Barn Yesterday built in 1899 as the cow barn for the McLean Estate in Head of the Harbor, Long Island, New York (featured on "The Great Homes of Long Island") and converted into a home in 1947 is the residence of Eileen and John Kelly. The Kelly's and their Labrador Retrievers share time between what is now Saint James, New York and their vacation home in Lyman, Maine on Wadleigh Pond, the perfect Lab retreat.
John and I adopted our first Labrador Retriever in 1984. Dodi was a retired guide dog and the love of our lives. Fourteen future guide dogs followed as well as three of the foundations breeding stock. A love of the breed was forged. Thanks to Lisa Weiss (Lobuff Labs) and Emily and John Biegel (Toll House Labs) I was bit by the show bug. Many fine dogs with amazing pedigrees followed. Our home is filled with beautiful, wonderful labradors that fill our lives with joy and unconditional love.
Come inside, enjoy the fire and our Labs. Sit for awhile and meet our four legged family. There is no kennel here just John, Eileen and their fur coated kids. Perhaps you can spend time by the fire place in our guest cottage, affectionately called the Saint James Infirmary because it doubles as the nursery and hospital for sick or recuperating Labs.
We are both retired from long and successful law enforcement careers. We chose Ol'Bailey (cockney pronunciation) as our kennel name after the Old Bailey in London, the first Police Station and Jail. Enter here and stay a while-No Subpoena Necessary!
